Originally opened in 1845 by Robert Mackie making traditional Scottish Glengarry and Balmoral headwear, and since then, we have grown to become a leading Scottish knitwear manufacturer.

Drawing on the rich textile heritage of Ayrshire, they craft indulgent modern wardrobe classics, and have become famous for their quality and use of vibrant color in these products.

Everything they produce is “Made in Scotland”, completely manufactured in-house, and they continue to work only in natural yarns to produce renewable and sustainable products.

A Woolmark licensee, Sedex member and a close collaborator of the Ethical Trade Initiative, they are also members of UKFT and Textiles Scotland. We are proud to be actively reducing our Carbon consumption in the race to Net Zero.
