Schott

Started in 1913 by brothers Irving & Jack Schott, what was a small business selling raincoats in the Lower East Side became an iconic piece of American history after creating a classic Bomber Jacket for the US Air Force during WWII. Post WWII led to the creation of the classic Schott Leather Jacket, which became a staple of both motorcycle, and later Punk, culture in NYC.
